Here's a yummy recipe from one of our Cakes & More members Kelli.
It looks both yummy inside and completely decorated!
Milk Chocolate Mud Cake
Est cooking time: 1 hour
Oven temp: 160C
Serves: 20 cm round tin
Ingredients:
200g margarine
200g milk chocolate
1-½ cups sugar
¾ cups hot water
1 teaspoon of coffee
1 cup Plain flour
¾ cup Self Raising flour
½ cup cocoa
2 eggs (room temp)
150ml sour cream, dollop cream or yoghurt
Instructions:
- Pre heat oven to 160C.
- Place 1st 5 ingredients into a saucepan and stir over a low heat until sugar has dissolved or do it in the microwave.
- Leave to cool to room temp.
- In a separate bowl whisk eggs and sour cream until smooth.
- Line and grease base and sides of cake tin.
- When cool fold in sifted flours, cocoa and egg mix.
- Pour into prepared tin and cook for about 1 hour, if it is cooking too fast try it at 150C.
- Cool in tin completely before turning out.
*Note: You can add up to 2 tablespoons of coffee if you wish. I like to use Nestle milk chocolate buds for this recipe.
